My First Istighfar Miracle Story

Today, I want to talk about an act of worship that I have spoken with you about a few times on this newsletter: istighfar.

I will share with you my personal experience with doing istighfar and hopefully encourage you to do the same thing if you aren’t doing so already.

In the recent months, I have been obsessed with one simple act of worship for the fact that it is incredibly easy to do yet it returns massive rewards:

Istighfar.

I’ve written several emails about the importance of istighfar for this newsletter and today I want to share the first miracle that I saw from doing much istighfar.

By the way, this isn’t the only miracle that I have seen, but it was the first that I noticed.

When I started doing istighfar a few months ago, I noticed that it started raining a lot during the warmer months when it usually doesn’t rain at all.

Why am I identifying this as a miracle?

Because of what Nuh (AS) said to his nation in Surah Nuh:

“‘Seek your Lord’s forgiveness, ˹for˺ He is truly Most Forgiving. He will shower you with abundant rain, supply you with wealth and children, and give you gardens as well as rivers.” [10-12].

And there actually was one day when I was showered with abundant rain when I was on my way to the masjid without an umbrella…😅

And we see that Nuh (AS) promises rain, then wealth…

Alhmamdullilah, Allāh has been blessing my wealth in ways that I never would’ve imagined recently — including an increase in what I see from my online business!

I say none of this to brag, but simply to implore you to do one thing.

“Seek your Lord’s forgiveness”.
